  4. Has anyone figured out how to navigate your base using the arrow keys? In EG1 I could fly around the base with the keyboard arrows vs the mouse and found it easier to control. The only way in EG2 that I can do this is with the mouse, but seems slower and sluggish.
  5. Rebellion just posted this up on their YouTube channel a few minutes ago. It's a new video about the gameplay for Evil Genius 2. Here's the video transcript for anyone that would like to read it vs watch: The dastardly minds behind evil genius, too, are ready to show you new gameplay and new details about their upcoming spy fi strategy Falin and prepare for your briefing Minyans. Hello and welcome to Rebellion, where jazz and collarless tunics are the new black and where we just can't help but reveal our plans to every agent we capture, we're invoking that. Do it now. Button on all of you who haven't subscribed to the channel yet. When you hit that red button, you'll get new vids every week. Speaking of revealing our plans, it's time to show off a bit more evil Genius two sequel to the beloved 2004 original torch bearer for the Speechify Genre, a unique strategy management hybrid. It's due in the first half of 2021 to ensure it says evil and ingenious as it can be. But the team behind it are ready to show off a bit more of it. And that's exactly what you'll see in this video from some returning familiar faces to new details about the covert operation, doomsday devices, traps, lair building and much more. Here's your latest look at evil genius to every good island. Life begins with a totally innocuous cover operation to throw tourists and the forces of justice alike write off your Machiavellian musk. That's what the casino here is doing with the help of your vallet minions. They're convincing tourists to throw all their holiday money on black while simultaneously convincing any agents that nothing to see here. Guy just a regular old casino out that door, just the staff room mate. All those tourists who went through would have been seen again. I haven't heard about it. Go across your cover operation will vary depending on your genius. So read even being a man of limited subtlety would much rather be spending time shouting or building a massive bomb than worrying about a fancy casino, which means his will be a little more sparse than some others, which will be showing off in time. And speaking of cards on the table, if we're laying out there's really very little out there we find more inspirational than the star of Transformers and Fury telling us to just do it. You know what, though? Evil genius, too, might have picked even by introducing that. Do it now, Command, bring your evil genius to an area you'd like, given special attention, activate the mode and minions will drop everything to tend to the actions within its area of effect. In this way, you can sort of use the genius like a cursor moving him around to points on things to get them done. Paronto this mode also serves to underline that in general you have a pretty white gloves management style enabled genius to the time isn't spent highlighting individual minions and telling them to do this and that, but instead accumulating the right amount of human resources to achieve your goals. Humans like Eli Barracuda Junior, who's demonstrating the evil genius, too, is a canonical sequel to the original, which means the original characters still exist in the same universe and b they've aged, which means Maximiliano original henchman has gone and started a family since we last saw him, and Eli Junior decided to take up the family business crime loading like his old pop Eli confi via Mellet or with that silver revolver. And also like his pop, he loves to strut about the place, but he's not the only returning face. In addition to Maximilien here, we've shown off before and read Ivan, who's been promoted from henchmen to full blown evil genius for this game. Jubei makes a return and well, let's just say the years haven't been kind to his appearance. Don't be fooled, though. He's still an absolute monster in a fight. Previously on The Channel. We devised a test to prove Jobster is the most deadly henchman around. And while he prefers a non lethal approach these days, he's still capable of taking people out to getting a sufficiently powerful weapon. Bill is basically the evil genius, his raison d'être. It's what they think about in bed before drifting off, when most of us will be thinking about our taco stand business idea or whether it's a Dalmatian. As such, building the doomsday device is an important part of the game. In the first game, you didn't really gain access to an operational version until the very end and you got to fire it just the once. That's all different for the better. This time you build it up literally upwards throughout the course of the game, devising ever more powerful iterations as you go on and test firing it at will in whichever region of the world map you choose. Your ultimate aim is to hone a doomsday device which is so powerful that the forces of justice are forced to surrender to your well, which is easier said than done. Of course, they will do just about anything to stop you. There's so much more to talk about. An evil genius too. But let's bring the magnifying glass over one more little wrinkle of its management system. Minion treats every single minion has their own personality in two, and that's expressed via the traits that you can read about when you highlight them. Traits give you clues as to what job they might be best put to use them. If you hover over me and click, for example, you'd find the torque slightly too loud into a mic trait. And I've just been deployed. Correct. By Rebellion HQ, another minion might have the precious flowers trait, which means after a hard day, building a machine to enslave us all or at the roulette table, they like to preserve flora, which in turn means they're probably not best cut out for a violent role in your organization. What you're really looking for here is loyalty, though. If your workforce isn't ready to basically live and breathe the job without a second's moral questioning and not worth having and can thus be given an assignment that sends them away from the base like permanently. We've got so much more to talk about between now and evil genius tears release. So stay tuned and subscribe to the channel for more updates. Remember, you can wish Evil Genius to right now on steam and a like if you enjoyed the bet until next time. Dance like no one's watching. Love like you've never been hurt and do it now. Like Red Ivan's telling you to.
  6. Columnists - World Domination for Dummies World Domination for Dummies, by Philip "Raven" Rossetti Warning: Evil Genius Base may not be held responsible for any court subpoenas, jail time, or death sentences that may occur to the reader as a direct or indirect result of the influence of this guide. Enjoy! Step 1. Location, location, location! It is now time to start your Evil Empire. Firstly, you'll need a place to setup shop. There are three basic Evil Locations in the world, which are: Outer Space, Island of Indeterminate Location, or Underwater. Many Evil Lair packages can be found from such agencies as Century 22 Lair Improvement, and Evil Lairs For You! Most packages will include 2-3 working minions, and a henchman of some sort. Deciding your Evil Location is important, as each location has different bonuses. Outer Space makes it hard for those pesky agents to reach you, but makes it more expensive. Island of Indeterminate Location is undoubtedly the cheapest, but least protected. Underwater is a good balance of safety and price, but may be more difficult to carry out your Evil Plans from twenty fathoms deep. Choose wisely based on how much gold you have and how many agencies are watching you. Step 2. Building your army. Thousands of anonymous minions are the corner stone of any successful Evil Organization. Sadly there are no successful Evil Organizations to use as examples, but surely you will be a wondrous success. Anonymous minions must have 3 things: No family, no friends, and a brightly colored jumpsuit. The jumpsuit is a must, and cannot be debated. Your minions must be the epitome of style. Henchmen can be considered to be your elite minions. The henchmen usually require a high salary, but you'll only need two or three. The henchmen are essential for dealing with those pesky Super Agents. Step 3. Notoriety. Being notorious will help you gain the support of minions and henchmen, as well as the rare endorsement from Evil Corporations like Macrosoft, and EBM. To become notorious you should carry out moderate evil deeds, but not to the point that you will subject yourself to government intrigue. Stealing world land marks with a shrink ray is always good, though some prefer destroying them. Stealing them will make you more notorious, but destroying them will prevent enemy agencies from trying to steal their landmarks back. When you are notorious enough you may begin carrying out your plans for World Domination. It is critical that you are notorious enough that the world will know it was you. If they considered you harmless than you would not get credit for your efforts. Step 4. Evil Research. Hiring Evil Scientists and Evil Researchers will help you develop new technology to combat the world's coalition of governments. Your Evil Research Program (or ERP) will enable you to create new Evil Weaponry, and even some new computer technology (16 colors, 32MB RAM, 200MHz processor, wouldn't that be sweet?). Your ERP will also help you improve the functions of your base and efficiency. Step 5. How to deal with pesky agents. You may often find yourself under investigation and scrutiny from governments around the world. There are a few ways to deal with agents. You can bribe governments, bribe the agents, or capture and torture agents to demonstrate your seriousness. Bribing agents and governments is most effective, but they won't always take the bait. Some people have a strange phenomenon of emotion known as 'morals', which is why torturing agents always works. Though keep in mind that torturing an agent can give you more heat, but will also increase your notoriety and may help you divulge valuable information. There are a number of torture devices. Piranhas are most popular with Evil Genii, but may pose a danger to any minions foolish enough to go for a swim in the pool. Electrocution is a clich', but always works. Dismemberment was abandoned a long time ago, primarily because of the messy cleanup. Lasers are the future. Industrial lasers are very powerful and will definitely send a bright message across. There are all forms of devious interrogation and torture methods, but most of the fun is in discovering them yourself. Step 6. Holding the world hostage. Before you can take over the world, you must hold it hostage. There are two methods for this, direct destruction and indirect destruction. Direct destruction is when you directly destroy something, usually with a nuclear weapon, or some other form of destructive power. Indirect destruction is when you cause a chain reaction from one act of infamy. Crashing the stock market will send a country into a great depression and will lead to poverty. Should this happen to a powerful nation such as Britain or America, countries that are dependant on others would crumble. Though be sure that should you actually have to carry out this plan that you will still be in a position of power afterwards. There's no point in having a single bullet in a gun and then shooting it off just to show that you mean business. After you take the world hostage the world will be at your mercy, and world domination will have been achieved. Step 7. Post domination rule. After you dominate the world you'll have to be very careful of uprisings, revolting nations, revolting henchmen and minions. You may very well live a life running from your own empire, but hey, you'll be rich so it won't matter. Afterword Raven here, just wanted to say thanks for reading this little piece and I hope you read my future features. Oh yeah, and this isn't a guide on how to play Evil Genius it's just a spoof on the 'For Dummies' books.
  7. Check out some more video footage from Evil Genius 2: World Domination about rogue agents. We didn’t have these in the original Evil Genius so excited to see what comes of them. Watch the video below from their Twitter feed.
  8. What kind of doomsday devices/scenarios are you hoping for in EG2? I’m really hoping for a doomsday rocket/bomb to blow up the world. It definitely would be the best ending for Red Ivan as an Evil Genius seeing as he was known to destroy bases with a rocket launcher, no matter the consequence. Also, I would love to see another John Steele rocket peri ending. Or perhaps an alternate ending, basically where you launch your doomsday device with low minion-loyalty causing your henchmen to mutiny and strap the Evil Genius to the rocket. 😈
  9. Be sure to stop by Steam and add the Evil Genius 2: World Domination game to your wishlist. They are making the game regardless, but should help show the demand and get the attention of others. https://store.steampowered.com/app/700600/Evil_Genius_2_World_Domination/

Looking through the folder we found a new video, not yet released on their YouTube channel. This video shows actual Pre-Alpha Captured In-Game footage. While the original trailer they release stated it was not from in game footage, it’s great to see it here. Maybe they’ve come up with normal/advanced training rooms or training rooms are now specific to the type of minion?
